The Evolution of Abs Exercises and Core Workouts

Get your FREE workout here: www.turbulencetraining.com This video takes you through the evolution of 21st century ab training. You’ll find 6 different ab exercises where the focus isn’t on crunching or spinal flexion, but instead is geared towards providing a core workout that offers stabilization and resistance rotation. Just because these ab exercises aren’t your traditional crunches, doesn’t mean that you won’t get that great ab burning feeling following your workout. These core exercises will still help build 6 pack abs, but in a much safer way that will reduce the incidence of low back pain. The first ab exercise in the evolution of ab training is a simple plank. This exercise needs to be mastered by beginners and those at risk of low back pain. The goal here is to work up to a 90 second to 2 minute hold in the plank position. The next core exercise is the side plank or side bridge. A little more difficult than the regular plank, the trick here is tokeep your body in a straight line and keep those hips raised. Once you’ve mastered those ab exercises, try the plank with your elbows on the stability ball. According to Men’s Health magazine, this exercise works your abs 30% hard than a regular plank. To increase the difficulty of this ab exercise, try moving the ball further away from your body. The fourth ab exercise to work your entire core is the stability ball jackknife. Here, you will place your feet on the stability ball and your hands on the floor or elbows on a

Chicago Fitness Trainer Tips For A Healthy, Happy New Year?s Celebration

Chicago Fitness Trainer Tips For A Healthy, Happy New Year’s Celebration

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 27, 2011

Chicagoans certainly know how to party. This year, the Hard Rock Hotel is hosting a party with American Idol Lee DeWyze in attendance. Rapper / DJ Lil Jon will be hanging out with 5,000 people at the Rosemont Ballroom. The American Heart Association’s Victory Ball 2012 will be offering six hours of open bar and hors d’oeuvres. Fine diners will congregate at Charlie Trotter’s, where tickets sell for $ 295 a head, or the Board Room’s Playhouse, where $ 100,000 buys partiers dinner for twenty at Chicago Cut Steakhouse, three bottles of tequila, four bottles of vodka, a bottle of champagne, a private limo and a first class vacation to Miami. Despite all the alluring parties, there will still be many residents who want a more modest and healthier New Year’s Eve celebration that won’t leave them feeling guilty.

Chicago Health Club Trainer Craig Kastning of Chi-Town Boot Camps has these tips to offer:

People who don’t want to teetotal can enjoy a glass of champagne for just 100 calories per five ounce serving. Wines like Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, White Zin, Merlot, and Cabernet Savignon also have about 100 calories.
Count calories, estimating 100 per shot of vodka, whiskey, or rum – plus about 140 calories if soda is added. Instead of Coca-Cola or Sprite, vodka goes well with soda water, which has 0 calories! (Remember that soda water is not the same as tonic water, which has about 83 calories.)
Stay away from liqueurs, creamy drinks, eggnogs or Irish coffee, which can easily deliver 200 or more calories.
Also avoid martinis and margaritas, which can run the gamut from 200 to 800 calories.
Throwing a splash of orange or cranberry juice into drinks has added nutritional benefits.
Drink from a narrow flute to feel as though the glass is fuller.

When it comes to food, the Chicago fitness trainer has this advice:

Eat before going out, preferably a high-fiber snack with protein that will lead to better satiety.
Avoid fried foods and puff pastries.
Wait to hit the buffet until it’s been mostly picked over.
Choose a small buffet plate and opt for one or two indulgences, filling the rest with veggies.
Don’t beat yourself up over a nibble of cheese, nuts, dark chocolates, or healthy fats.
Exercise on New Year’s Day and avoid foods with fat or sugar to detox your body.

Chi-Town Boot Camps is gearing up for a busy 2012. “The last week of December is a bit like the calm before the storm,” Kastning admits. “That’s why I always tell people, ‘If you want to guarantee a Chicago personal trainer will be available for you, then get started just before the holiday hits so you’re already on file. Naturally you’ll get first dibs on training sessions, should you desire them – not to mention, we have a great promotion going on right now where you get nutrition counseling and a week of boot camp for $ 1. You just can’t beat that!”

NAPW Jacksonville Chapter Gathered in December to Support a Local Charity and Benefit From a Guest Speaker

NAPW Jacksonville Chapter Gathered in December to Support a Local Charity and Benefit From a Guest Speaker

Garden City, NY (PRWEB) December 22, 2011

The professional women of NAPW met for a networking meeting this month. Jenni Edwards, Chapter President, welcomed those in attendance at the NAPW Jacksonville Local Chapter meeting. This was the second meeting under the newly installed president. Consistent with last week’s meeting, the focus was on charitable efforts. The first few minutes were spent discussing the addition of a more relaxed, social meeting to focus on networking. The goal of the gatherings will be not only to strengthen personal relationships between NAPW members, but also to support local businesses. The first gathering will be held Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 at Corner Bistro Wine Bar. The start time is 6:30pm. It was noted that these meetings will be in addition to the monthly meetings, not replacing the monthly meetings.

Next, the group spent time discussing plans for an annual charity event. The event would be in addition to an ongoing effort to aide charities in the Jacksonville community. The Betty Griffin House was discussed as an option, however their main annual event is coming up quickly on January 28th, 2012; Shana Herrin, VP of Charitable Acts, will research local charities. Members expressed the desire to benefit local charities as much as possible, as well as women-specific charities, such as the American Cancer Society Florida Division’s “Put on Your Pink Bra” campaign.

The conversation turned to the need to get the word out about the new life that has been breathed into the Jacksonville Chapter. Due to the newness of the group, this was the second meeting under president Jenni Edwards, there is a need to reach out to women in the Jacksonville area to attend meetings. Jenni mentioned that there are 11 new Chapter members as of December 1st. NAPW member Cheri Jones volunteered to create a Facebook page dedicated to the Jacksonville Chapter.

Shana Herrin, VP of Charitable Acts, gathered gifts collected for two young women whose lives are touched by Community PedCare. She thanked all for their contributions and will assemble and deliver gift baskets from the items collected.

“Guest speaker Anne Cook spent the remainder of the meeting enlightening the group on how to live a Delicious Life NOW,” said Jenni. “It was very insightful.”

Key points of her presentation included the idea that owning a business is like having a baby: nourish, cherish and want it, but it has to fit in with other family members. She recalled that everyone tried to give her advice and tell her what to do, but she stayed true to her vision. She used to write goals every New Year, but found it difficult to accomplish many of them. She now writes letters to her future self of what has happened in the last year – the motivation behind her new product “Living the Life of Your Dreams.” This gives your brain the opportunity to believe your desires to be truth. She now looks back and consistently accomplishes approximately 80% of the items she said she would. For example, instead of writing “Goal: Lose Weight” she writes “Size 4 is loose on me.” Her brain recognizes this decision to lose weight as truth and affects her actions, thus resulting in weight loss. She encouraged the group to write their own letters this coming New Year. As a group exercise, attendees discussed what they ‘had accomplished in the last five years’.

Jenni Edwards closed the meeting with the announcement of two new officers:

Shana Herrin – VP of Charitable Acts
          Leah Zimmer – Secretary

An upcoming meeting will be held on Monday, January 6th, 2012 at 6:30pm at Stellar (Brick Building on Property) 2900 Hartley Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257. Guest speaker, NAPW member Charu Raheja, will discuss Savings and Basic Finance.

Global Electronic Access Control Systems Market to Reach US$ 6.0 Billion by 2015, According to New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

          San Jose, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) January 11, 2011

Despite the popular perception that ever-present safety & security needs and rising crime rates, which interestingly tend to escalate during periods of economic downturn, make electronic access control systems market recession proof, the market ironically has shown signs of marked weakening in the midst of steady deterioration in business climate. With most key end-use sectors i.e. banking, financial services, retail (malls, multiplexes), IT sector, construction, and hospitality (hotels & restaurants) collapsing like a pack of cards, growth patterns have been largely distorted. The forced delay in launch of new retail projects such as malls, chain retailers and franchise outlets, as a result of distortions in economic variables, such as, drying up of debt markets, lack of capital investments, and deep corporate budgets cuts, have eroded market opportunities for EACS.

The meltdown of the construction industry, as reflected in the general weakness in new office, commercial and residential building projects, rising vacancy rates, construction delays and sharp falls in the number of applications for new building permits, and government scaling back of infrastructure-related projects have also played instrumental roles in negatively impacting new equipment order influx rates for EACS. For instance, although a very valuable addition to security infrastructure, the importance of electronic access control systems has temporarily been overshadowed as building owners focus squarely on surviving the crisis. In addition, widespread postponements, cancellation of upgradation security projects and delays in scheduled system replacements in existing facilities, have resulted in sharp declines in replacement demand.

However, a transient disruption in the economic climate like the recent recession is not likely to leave an indelible mark on the market, as prevention of authorized access and detection of perpetrators will always remain vital in the overall security arrangements. Although the tough economic climate has squeezed new orders for EACS, the focus on safety and security among organizations, government agencies and general public continues to remain unchanged, as security coverage is closely tied to safety of human life and asset protection in infrastructure facilities and residential and commercial centers.

With recession now at its tail end, the market will witness a quick resurgence of demand fundamentals, such as increase in commercial and residential building construction, improvements in disposable spends, and increase in infrastructure investments, which will help drive the EACS market in the post recession period. Growth in the market, which was hitherto frustrated by capital shortages, reduced personnel, and unemployment, is forecast to rebound as liquidity issues and financial hardships begin to ease. Technology developments such as development of more advanced, and higher value access control systems and efforts to integrate new advanced features and capabilities such as hybrid and wireless installations to the already installed access control systems, will also generate substantial demand for EACS market over the next few years.

As stated by the new market research report, US continue to remain the largest regional market. Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing regional market waxing at a CAGR of about 3.7% over the analysis period. Growth in this market will be essentially driven by factors such as fast paced economic development in emerging countries such as China and India, increase in foreign investments, rise in the number of new business establishments and increase in crime rates. By product, Card-Based Electronic Access control systems market continues to be the largest product segment, holding a lion’s share of the global market. Smart cards represent the largest revenue contributor to the card-based EACS market. Audio and Video-Based Electronic Access Control Systems market is the fastest growing product segment, waxing at a CAGR of about 6.8% over the analysis period

Major players in the marketplace include Aiphone Co. Ltd., ASSA ABLOY AB, BIO-key, International Inc., DigitalPersona Inc, Gunnebo Ab, Hirsch Electronics Corporation, Honeywell Access Systems, Ingersoll Rand Recognition Systems Inc., Linear LLC, Imprivata® Inc., Kaba Holding AG, L-1 Identity Solutions, NAPCO Security Systems Inc., PAC International Ltd, SAFRAN Group, SecuGen Corporation, Siemens Industry USA Building Technologies, The Chamberlain Group Inc, UTC Fire & Security, Chubb Securite S.A.S, and GE Security Inc.

The research report titled “Electronic Access Control Systems: A Global Strategic Business Report” announced by Global Industry Analysts, Inc., provides a comprehensive review of market trends, issues, drivers, company profiles, mergers, acquisitions and other strategic industry activities. The report provides market estimates and projections in value sales for major geographic markets including the United States, Canada, Japan, Europe (France, Germany, Italy, UK, Spain, Russia & Rest of Europe), Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Latin America. Product segments analyzed include Card Based EACS (Proximity Cards, Smart Cards, Legacy Technology based Cards and Others), Biometrics-Based EACS (Fingerprint Face Recognition Voice/Signature Verification, Hand Geometry and Iris Recognition), Audio and Video- Based EACS and Keypad-Based EACS.

Three standard depths are offered for these 19” server racks: 600mm, 800mm and 1,000mm. All racks are supplied with adjustable 19” panel mounts. The standard finish is graphite gray epoxy paint.

Door options include safety glass or mesh (front and rear) with both available in single or space saving double door formats. The cabinets can be supplied without doors if required.

Unique design features of LOGIC² 19” cabinets include:

front and rear doors with 190 degree opening angle and soft close operation
quick release side and vented top panels
optional corner trims in five colors to match corporate ID or color code different rack configurations.

All LOGIC² computer rack cabinets are manufactured from 100 per cent recyclable materials.

A complete range of accessories is available including plinths and panels, modular fan units, cable management, 19” chassis trays, shelves, supports and rails, baying kits and PDUs.

EASYRACK flat-pack 19″ wall mount racks are just as fast, convenient and easy to install as LOGIC² cabinets.

Blue (RAL 5007) ABS corner blocks secure EASYRACK’s steel top, bottom and side sections while the side panels and 19″ profiles are assembled with quarter turn fasteners.

EASYRACK’s 19″ profiles are adjustable in depth increments of 0.78″ (20mm). The aluminum-framed smoked safety glass front door can be locked and the rear is open for access (a rear panel is available as an optional accessory). Ventilated top and base panels come with cable access to allow the fitting of modular fan units.

Three versions of EASYRACK are available. Each wall mount rack has a distributed load capacity of 88lbs (40kg):

EASYRACK SOHO for small office/home office installations – supplied with fixed side panels and 16-way patch panel

WITRACK single section models come with a flat rear panel and slide-in or fixed ventilated side panels.

Dual section models feature a hinged rear section and ventilated slide-in side panels, allowing total access to cables and equipment. The front section can be hinged up to 90 degrees away from the rear.

Fitness Concepts Announces New Programs for Holiday Season

Fitness Concepts Announces New Programs for Holiday Season

Chino Hills, CA (PRWEB) December 02, 2011

Fitness Concepts, an innovative fitness club in Chino Hills, California, has announced that there will be several new programs for members during the holiday season, including a new Chino Hills Boot Camp. This boot camp will be for those interested in losing weight over the holidays, as well as gaining muscle tone and strength.

According to Dr. Sam Bakhtiar, the owner and operator of Fitness Concepts, most people wait until January before beginning their new fitness program, and therefore most fitness clubs do not offer as many programs during the holidays. Dr. Bakhtiar has stated that he intends to ensure fitness enthusiasts as well as those wanting a head start on their New Years resolutions have options.

“At Fitness Concepts, we want to ensure everyone has as much opportunity as possible,” said Dr. Bakhtiar in a recent interview. “While other gyms are cutting back on overhead and on programs in order to save money, Fitness Concepts is going strong, and putting our clients first.”

Dr. Bakhtiar has received a plethora of testimonials regarding his gym, staff and personal training, many of which are featured on the company’s website http://www.fitconcepts.com.

“As of September 2004, I have lost a total of 65 poundsand fit in a size two jeans and a size small blouse!” said Karen Bryan, a client of Fitness Concepts. “People do not recognize me and are constantly asking me how I did it. For years (since my 20’s), I dreamed of feeling and looking like this.”

Fitness Concepts has helped several thousand people achieve their fitness and health goals, and make significant lifestyle changes.
